The Project:
Experience the crowd
Understand why people march
Ehy there are protest
Why it's important to voice your opinion in a non violent way
This weekend hubby and I sat down with the girls to explain to them the march that is going on in Boston this weekend #MarchForOurLives.
Bella (5) was tired, so we only took Lily (10) to the Boston Common to listen to the speeches and to experience the crowd.
She was a little overwhelmed by the size of the crowd, but we talked about why it was so important that people marched. We talked about standing up for what you believe, that a voice and many together can make changes.
We're hoping this movement will continue and bring better and safer laws for our kids. In the meantime, Lily's walked away seeing that there is strength in numbers.
Lily heard speeches from teenagers, and thought it was very brave of them to talk in front of so many people.
There are more than 800 marches around the world happening today, the momentum is here to do something about it.
