No More Board Books for that Kindergartener

Bella (5) has been taking books to bed and "reading" them since she's been able to hold them in her hand. This Year Bella started Kindergarten and has been progressing with her reading a lot BUT.... we still have so many board books on our shelves.
In these past two weeks, Bella and I have been choosing the simple board books off the shelves and have been reading them. If she reads them confidently, then we put that book in a donate pile, and if she's not quite there yet, we just put it back on the shelf.
For example, the Sandra Boynton books are simple with few words and she knows those by heart, so we don't keep. (Same goes for Mo Willems)...

Bella is so proud to feel that she's graduating from some books... and honestly, we live in an apartment so shelf space is precious. We seem to be amassing more books without rotating any out.
